The centre-half played 15 minutes as a substitute in the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Dagenham to return from over 12 months out after surgery on both of his Achilles tendons. He said: "It got to the point when I thought I might not ever play again. "There was a time when I started training again in January and something else happened, and I thought 'Am I ever going to get back to where I was?' "It was a horrible time and I wouldn't wish it upon anybody. Both my parents, family, daughter and partner all helped me to get through it and I was very difficult to live with. "I did feel depressed at times, but I had great people to help me through it and I hope I'm back for good now."
