Robinson: We stuck at it

04 September 2010 15:30
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson felt his side's patience paid off as they beat Hartlepool 1-0. Lewis Guy's neat finish settled a tight affair, although Pools could have earned a point had they received a late penalty when Antony Sweeney went down under Sean O'Hanlon's challenge. But Robinson felt his side were worthy of the points, thanks to their weight of possession, He said: "I thought we retained the ball better than them and created enough chances to have been well out in front. "But good teams persist and good teams do the right things for a long period of time. I thought we rode our luck later on in the game but I thought we deserved that little bit of luck. "It was a good professional job and we worked hard for the win."
