Robinson urges Carrington to excel

Carrington's double and Andros Townsend's tap-in ensured a fourth straight defeat on the road for the lowly Shrimpers, who grabbed a late consolation through substitute Matt Paterson.[LNB]And Robinson has urged forgotten-man Carrington - who was recalled from the wilderness after the Dons' 5-0 drubbing at Carlisle last week - to prove he is worthy of a regular place in the team.[LNB]He said: "His goal record is phenomenal for a midfield player, but if you look at the quality we've got, you can't play everyone. But the good thing for us is that he can come in and put a performance in like he did.[LNB]"The reason Mark is back in is because of the way he trains, he trains magnificently every single day. Jermaine Easter is claiming the second goal - he says it hit him on the shin - but it would be incredibly hard to take that goal away from Mark because his performance deserved it.[LNB]"Mark has got a really bright future ahead of him but don't get carried away, he needs to become an all-round midfield player and not just a goalscoring one. We let the fans down last Saturday and it was not acceptable, but we're pleased with the way the players responded in this game."[LNB][LNB]
