Alan Sheehan and Keigan Parker struck high-class goals as the Latics completed a hat-trick of league wins.
The visitors grabbed a late lifeline when Ritchie Partridge's cross hit the far post and cannoned in off unlucky Oldham goalkeeper Dean Brill.
Robinson said: "I'm angry and disappointed and that goes for everybody - the manager, players and staff. Sometimes it is hard to understand why things happen in football and I'm almost lost for words in describing how bad we feel about losing.
"After the first goal went in we had a number of chances to equalise quite quickly, but after that we never looked like scoring.
"Maybe I'm being harsh because the players have been outstanding this season, but we should be doing a lot better than that."
