Robinson eager to get started

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson is confident he can cope with the pressure as he prepares to embark on his first season in football management. The 29-year-old became the youngest manager in English football when he replaced Paul Ince at stadium:mk at the end of last season. He was previously Ince's assistant and with the Dons' pre-season campaign in full swing he is now desperate for the real thing to start. "I think with having people like John Gorman, Didi Hamann and Alex Rae around me with the experience they have will help me deal with all the problems, whether that's winning or losing," he told the Football League website. "I just can't wait for it. It's an opportunity that when it came about I grabbed with both hands. "As staff and a group of players, we're really itching to get going."
