Robbo reveals rant

Karl Robinson was happy with his MK Dons side after their 2-1 Carling Cup triumph over Dagenham & Redbridge - but only after he had broke ranks for the first time in his short managerial career to give his charges a half-time dressing down. Jabo Ibehre scored twice in the second half as Robinson's men came from behind to see off a Daggers side who had taken the lead through Damien McCrory's well-taken free-kick. And the hosts' response was just what Robinson had hoped to see after dishing out some choice words in the home dressing room. He said: "People are going to single out Jabo because he scored two magnificent goals but everyone at this football club pulled it together. Even in the first half - okay we weren't great, we didn't move the ball particularly well, we tried to do things that weren't on and sometimes overplayed. We didn't go forward quick enough but it wasn't a lack of effort. "For the first time in this job I had to have a go at people at half-time - everything has been quite smooth up to now. I had to open up a little bit and have a go at certain people. I said to them before they went out that `if you don't raise your game you come off, it's as simple as that'." He continued: "We moved the ball even quicker second half and made it extremely difficult for them. We look strong, we look organised and in possession we look like we've got players who can score goals."
