Puncheon was shown a straight red card for a two-footed challenge during the 1-0 defeat to League One leaders Leeds on Saturday and begins a three-match ban against Dave Penney's Latics. New signing Dean Morgan may feature after signing on non-contract terms while top scorer Jermaine Easter is in training after a thigh injury and will be assessed before kick-off. Defender Danny Woodards (ankle) remains on the sidelines while Jude Stirling (groin) and Sean O'Hanlon (knee) remain long-term problems. Forward Sam Baldock is away with the England Under-20s World Cup squad in Egypt but Aaron Wilbraham started for the first time this season against Leeds and is fully fit after a long spell out with an ankle injury.
