Robinson still short of numbers Antony Kay returns from suspension for the visit of Stevenage but MK Dons boss Karl Robinson could again struggle to fill the bench. With Kay serving a one-match ban, fellow centre half Gary MacKenzie out for around three months and requiring hip surgery and midfielder Daniel Powell injured, Robinson could name only five of his permitted seven substitutes against Preston on Sunday. Kay is back, meaning Shaun Williams could revert to his midfield role after partnering Mathias Doumbe at the heart of the defence for the goalless draw at Deepdale. However, Powell remains a doubt with the knock that kept him out last weekend. Should Powell remain absent, defender Adam Chicksen, midfielder James O'Shea and strikers Charlie MacDonald and Ryan Lowe will be the only out-field options available to manager Karl Robinson, who has revealed he is trying to sign a new striker. Stevenage will be without the suspended Anthony Grant. The midfielder was dismissed eight minutes into the second half of the 1-0 defeat away to Colchester last weekend. Oliver Risser, on-loan from Swindon, could be the man to step in and fill the void. Boro will definitely be without long-serving defender Jon Ashton as he continues to struggle with an Achilles injury. Striker Patrick Agyemang is also sidelined with a thigh injury, but there is better news for Lee Hills (thigh) and Don Cowan (hamstring), both of whom are nearing a return to the first team fold. Stevenage were beaten 1-0 on their last trip to stadium:mk but ran out 4-2 winners in the return fixture.
