Dons waiting on Hodson

MK Dons will check on Lee Hodson ahead of the visit of Shrewsbury.

Hodson limped off during the 3-3 FA Cup draw with holders Wigan last weekend and the right-back will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's league game, with manager Karl Robinson willing to give him right up until kick-off before making a decision.

If the Northern Ireland international is unable to play, George Baldock is expected to fill in. Baldock replaced Hodson during the third round tie at DW Stadium.

Leading scorer Patrick Bamford made the final appearance of his loan spell against the Latics but Robinson has this week swooped to sign another striker on loan - Chris Long from Everton. The 18-year-old will hope to make his debut.

Shrewsbury will be without Luke Summerfield, Nicky Wroe and Darren Jones.

Summerfield missed Tuesday's 2-0 home defeat to Leyton Orient with a thigh injury and looks set to remain sidelined for around a couple of weeks.

Fellow midfielder Wroe has been recalled by parent club Preston while defender Jones sustained an ankle injury during the warm-up prior to the loss against Orient.

Boss Graham Turner has been forced to recall Connor Goldson from his loan spell at Cheltenham, while fellow defender Jermaine Grandison will hope to continue his search for game time following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a hip injury.
