Dons to check on pair

MK Dons will check on Dean Bowditch and Kyle McFadzean ahead of the visit of Sheffield United in the Capital One Cup.

Forward Bowditch (leg) and defender McFadzean (concussion) missed the goalless draw at Doncaster on Saturday, having both suffered injuries during the previous match against Fleetwood. They were replaced in the starting line-up by Samir Carruthers and Tom Flanagan in the only changes made by boss Karl Robinson in south Yorkshire.

The likes of Carl Baker, Mark Randall, Tom Hitchcock and Benik Afobe are options for Robinson should he want to freshen things up for the fourth-round tie.

Danny Green (hamstring) and Lee Hodson (ankle) have resumed training but are not yet ready for a return to first-team contention.

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough has plenty of options to consider ahead of the trip.

The Blades are flying high in League One after recording three straight victories and are looking to transfer that form into the Capital One Cup.

Forward Mark McNulty could be recalled after dropping to the bench for Saturday's 1-0 win at Crewe while Jay McEveley (shoulder) may start after coming on as a late substitute.

Teenage defender Harrison McGahey missed out on the matchday squad altogether and will be hoping to get the nod along with striker Michael Higdon, who was dropped in favour of Jamal Campbell-Ryce.
