Double doubt for Dons

Dean Bowditch and Antony Kay are injury concerns for MK Dons ahead of the visit of unbeaten Sheffield United.

Forward Bowditch returned to the starting line-up after almost a month out against Leyton Orient on Wednesday night and lasted 75 minutes before being substituted. Defender Kay was also withdrawn late in the 1-0 home win.

First-team coach Ian Wright does not think their problems are too serious.

"Antony Kay got a knee in the hamstring and Dean Bowditch was just precautionary," said Wright following the Orient game. "We've got a lot of games in the next 10 days, so we've got to keep the players wrapped up.

"Hopefully Antony's injury isn't as bad as we thought because dead legs are really hard to get over."

Should Kay miss out, either Mathias Doumbe or Adam Chicksen will replace him at centre-half.

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson is not expected to make any changes as his side look to extend their unbeaten league run to 17 matches.

Wilson has no new injury or suspension problems, but will still be without striker Dave Kitson, who has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury sustained in the recent home win over Walsall.

Defender Matt Hill shook off the effects of a dead-leg to play the full 90 minutes in the goalless draw at Swindon on Tuesday night, while Wilson recalled the more defensive-minded Marcus Williams to his midfield in place of Shaun Miller.

Williams is expected to retain his place at Stadium: mk as the Blades chase their fifth away league win of the season, while goalkeeper Mark Howard (thigh) and defender Lecsinal Jean-Francois (knee) remain long-term absentees.
