Dons monitoring Gleeson

MK Dons hope Stephen Gleeson can play some part against FC Halifax but David Martin looks set to remain on the sidelines.

Gleeson has been out for three weeks with a calf injury but the midfielder could play some part on Saturday, while goalkeeper Martin continues to struggle with his calf complaint and is likely to miss the FA Cup first-round tie.

Dons boss Karl Robinson has hinted that striker Izale McLeod could be in line for a start but midfielders Luke Chadwick and Ben Reeves are doubts after they came off with knocks during the second half of the league win over Walsall last weekend.

West Ham and Crystal Palace have granted permission for Jordan Spence and Jason Banton to play but the Dons are still awaiting confirmation from Aston Villa regarding fellow loanee Samir Carruthers.

Halifax winger Adam Smith is a major injury concern for manager Neil Aspin.

Smith sustained ankle and foot injuries in last week's defeat at Alfreton and has not trained this week.

Manager Neil Aspin has no other new selection problems as his side bid to overcome their poor away form. Town's win at Nuneaton in the fourth qualifying round was their only success on the road this season.

Former Huddersfield skipper Jon Worthington, plus fellow midfielders Kevin Holsgrove and Josh Wilson are among those pushing for recalls.
