Dons hopeful on Lewington
MK Dons hope to have skipper Dean Lewington back for their first home game of the season against Crewe.
Lewington suffered a knee injury as the Dons got their League One campaign under way against Shrewsbury last weekend and missed the Capital One Cup tie at Northampton on Tuesday night. The left-back will undergo a fitness test ahead of the game.
Daniel Powell, however, will definitely not feature. The winger faces more than two months on the sidelines after damaging ankle ligaments last week in a training match.
Dean Bowditch also remains out of action, although the forward's groin complaint should not rule him out for too much longer.
Lee Molyneux will complete his three-match ban when Crewe hope to put a bad first week of the season behind them.
The Alex kicked off their Sky Bet League One campaign with a 3-3 draw against Rotherham when they conceded two late goals before they were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Bury in midweek.
Winger Molyneux, who signed as a free agent this summer following his release from Accrington, is still waiting to make his Crewe debut after picking up a red card with his former club.
Striker Mathias Pogba (knee) is still four months away from a return but Vadaine Oliver hopes to play more of a part after a couple of substitute appearances following his groin strain.
