Robinson to ring changes

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson is expected to make changes to his team for the Capital One Cup visit of Championship rivals Cardiff.

Robinson swapped 10 players in Round One against Leyton Orient, with only captain Dean Lewington retaining his place in the starting line-up.

Cody Cropper could get another run out in goal while Lee Hodson and Matthew Upson will probably be recalled in defence. Josh Murphy, on loan from Norwich, is likely to make his Dons debut and the likes of Carl Baker, Daniel Powell, Sam Gallagher, Sergio Aguza and Cristian Benavente are also options for Robinson.

Midfielders Mark Randall and Ben Reeves (hamstring) and defender Joe Walsh (knee) remain out injured.

Bruno Manga and Federico Macheda look set to be involved for Cardiff after seeing their starts to the season stalled by injury.

Manga made a substitute's appearance during the 2-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday and City boss Russell Slade told Wales Online: "I am hopeful Manga and Macheda will be involved in our cup match. They have been training well and should be ready.

"The priority is to make sure we have our strongest possible team available for Nottingham Forest away on Saturday, but we still want to progress in the Capital One Cup."

Slade will check on Scott Malone, who missed the Wolves game because of a virus, while striker Kenwyne Jones is doubtful because of an ankle injury. Loan signing Sammy Ameobi could start.
