Goalkeeper Cody Cropper back in reckoning for MK Dons versus Brentford

Goalkeeper Cody Cropper comes back into the reckoning for MK Dons as they hope to stave off relegation with victory against Brentford.

Cropper missed the goalless draw at Sheffield Wednesday in midweek through suspension but the American is likely to be back between the posts on Saturday, replacing 20-year-old Charlie Burns.

Injury has seen George Baldock sit out the last two matches and the right-back will undergo a fitness test before Milton Keynes manager Karl Robinson decides whether he is ready for Saturday.

Robinson has a few players nursing minor knocks after Tuesday night but no new absentees are expected for the Dons, who must win and hope Bristol City lose if they are to realistically have any chance of prolonging their fight for survival.

Brentford forward Scott Hogan, who spent almost two years out with a cruciate injury, staked his claim for a recall when coming off the bench to score two late goals in the 2-1 win over Cardiff on Tuesday night.

Bees manager Dean Smith could freshen up the team, which has gone five matches unbeaten. Midfielders Konstantin Kerschbaumer and Josh Clarke both started against Cardiff, but French defender Maxime Colin and on-loan Liverpool teenager Sergi Canos could be in contention again.

There was a place on the bench for 18-year-old midfielder Reece Cole, who is again expected to be included in the squad at Stadium MK for more first-team experience.

Midfielder Alan Judge remains unavailable after undergoing surgery on his broken leg.
