Kay banned for Dons

MK Dons will be without Antony Kay when they host promotion rivals Bournemouth.

Kay was shown a straight red card on Tuesday night following a clash with Yeovil's Paddy Madden and he will be suspended against the Cherries.

Fellow centre-half Gary MacKenzie will also be absent as he continues to struggle with the knock that forced him off during the club's historic FA Cup win at QPR last weekend.

Winger Daniel Powell (hamstring) remains a doubt but striker Ryan Lowe is expected to recover from the eye injury that forced him off after just half an hour at Yeovil.

Patrick Bamford has rejoined the Dons on loan but the teenage striker will remain with parent club Chelsea for the time being as he continues his rehabilitation from injury.

Midfielders Stephen Gleeson (broken foot) and Luke Chadwick (knee) remain unavailable to manager Karl Robinson.M

Bournemouth look set to name new signing Matt Ritchie in their squad.

The 23-year-old winger, last season's npower League Two player of the year, put pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half year deal after joining from fellow promotion hopefuls Swindon for an undisclosed fee on Wednesday.

But manager Eddie Howe will definitely be without Donal McDermott, who is sidelined after an injury in the Hampshire Senior Cup tie with Eastleigh on Tuesday night.

Left-back Charlie Daniels is still struggling with an ankle injury that ruled him out of the 3-1 win over Crewe last weekend.

Northern Ireland striker Josh McQuoid missed training this week through illness and he will be assessed by the medical staff in the build-up to the trip.

Bournemouth currently sit fifth in the table, six points ahead of Karl Robinson's men who suffered defeat to Yeovil in midweek.
