Samir Carruthers back into reckoning for MK Dons

Samir Carruthers comes back into the reckoning for MK Dons as they prepare to host Blackburn.

Carruthers has missed the last three matches through suspension but he is available again to bolster the midfield options of Dons boss Karl Robinson, who was a coach with Rovers prior to his move to Milton Keynes.

Striker Nicky Maynard will hope to make his full debut after three substitute appearances while the likes of Sam Gallagher, Daniel Powell and Rob Hall are also options for Robinson.

Cody Cropper, Mark Randall, Dale Jennings, Darren Potter and Joe Walsh all remain out injured for the Dons.

Jordan Rhodes and Lee Williamson are expected to be fine to feature for Blackburn despite picking up knocks on international duty.

Striker Rhodes pulled out of Scotland's trip to Gibraltar due to a medial ligament problem but trained with Rovers on Thursday while midfielder Williamson, who also sustained a knee injury, is expected to train on Friday.

Rovers will be without striker Fode Koita, though, because of a hamstring injury, while Jason Lowe (foot) and Chris Brown (knee) are both out for the long term after having surgery.

Danny Guthrie (thigh) should be back training on Monday ahead of the fixtures with Derby and Burnley while Matt Kilgallon has recovered from a hamstring problem.
