Lewington enjoying buzz at Dons
Ince returned to the club just a year after leaving to join Blackburn and he has already brought in striker Jermaine Easter, winger Richie Partridge and midfielder Mark Carrington.
"We have got quite a small squad to start with and the new boys have come in and have fitted in quite well," Lewington told the club's official website.
"It is good to have continuity, so sometimes it can be difficult with new managers coming in and players coming and going but the gaffer's back and there is a real buzz about the place so we are looking forward to the start of the season."
Lewington got his first run-out of the pre-season at Hampton and Richmond on Tuesday night and was happy with his workout.
"That's what you need sometimes, a competitive game. It was a good test for us and it was good to get out there and get the legs going again and get some football under the belt."
