Late delight for Dons

Dagenham's winless run at home extended to seven games when Mark Carrington secured a 1-0 victory for MK Dons with a dramatic 93rd-minute winner. Despite having not won in Dagenham in more than three months, the hosts looked anything but short of confidence and dominated the early stages. Marvin Morgan, on his full home debut, was the main threat with only a last-ditch challenge from Mathias Doumbe preventing him putting the ball on a plate for Gavin Tomlin to score. The former Aldershot striker should have done better when one on one with keeper David Martin soon after, but blasted straight at him. The Dons were more impressive after the break and Peter Leven was inches away from putting them in front when his 20 yard effort curled wide. The visitors were handed the initiative when Danny Green was given a straight red for a reckless elbow. And in the third minute of injury time substitute Carrington's weak 20-yard shot was fumbled by goalkeeper Tony Roberts, who wtached it crawl over the line.
