Johnson secures new Dons contract

The 24-year-old looked set to leave the club this summer after his contract expired but following the return of manager Paul Ince the American has decided to stay.[LNB]Chairman Pete Winkelman said: "Nothing is ever simple in football and it has taken some time to arrange, but we're delighted to have JJ back on board.[LNB]"He showed at times last season that he is capable of producing fantastic performances and, now that his future has been decided, I think we can look forward to seeing him produce those on a regular basis.[LNB]"His explosive qualities make him the kind of player that excites a crowd and I know the fans will be as pleased as I am about his return."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
