The 24-year-old was in sparkling form scoring a hat-trick in a 3-1 pre-season friendly defeat of the Cobblers. MK Dons assistant manager Robinson wants to see more of that kind of thing from Johnson during the forthcoming League One campaign. "A lot of players are confidence players and JJ certainly falls into that bracket. He's a very talented footballer but he's got to replicate that week-in and week-out," Robinson told the club's official website. "The standards we put on players means it's not good enough doing it as a one-off, you have to consistently perform. It's our job to make that happen and, if it doesn't, we'll be on his back."
