Dons chief reveals stadium plans
Members of the England 2018 inspection team made a visit to the stadium last week to see the plans which include expanding the ground to hold 43,044 fans.
Winkelman said: "Stadium:mk is already a venue we can be proud of and with our architects now preparing to meet World Cup standards it can be one of the UK's premier sporting arenas.
"We are fortunate in that we have the space on the stadium site to create all the additional structures and facilities needed to host matches of global magnitude."
