Boss wary of 'confident' Shrimpers

Di Matteo's men head to Roots Hall looking to cement their place in the top six. Southend have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs but their boss Steve Tilson recently questioned whether they had enough games left to bridge the gap. "Maybe he's (Tilson) using that to motivate his team," Di Matteo told the club's official website. "I think they still fancy a place in the play-offs, it's not going to be easy for them but they are on a good run. "At home they're a very strong side, they're full of confidence right now so it's not going to be a walk in the park. "We've monitored Southend before, we've watched them and we know what to expect. They've got some dangerous players, up front especially."
