Boss pleased with home comforts
Di Matteo's men will host Hartlepool in their opening League One fixture on August 8 and then face Swindon in the Carling Cup later that week.
"Our supporters were amazing for us last year so it's great we've got a home game first as they will have the chance to get behind us straight away," he told the club's official website.
"With the Carling Cup game at home we'll have two games at our stadium in the first week so we have a great chance to start well.
"Hartlepool gave us two very difficult games last season so it is in no way an easy start and we'll have to be very well prepared.
"Anything can happen on the first day of the season so you have to be ready for it."
