Boss: Dons are staring at play-offs

The Dons are nine points adrift of second place with seven games remaining after picking up just one win in their last nine attempts. Jermaine Beckford's double condemned them to defeat at Elland Road and Di Matteo is now focussing on finishing the season in as good a form as possible. "Realistically it becomes very difficult to chase second place," he said. "We have to make sure we get back the winning mentality and finish the season in good shape. "It was a bad afternoon for us, especially the way we gave away a cheap first goal. It was a present to Leeds. Beckford didn't do much in the game but he scored two goals which made the difference, along with the defending. "You have to take your chances but their keeper got a hand to Sam Baldock's free-kick and the ball went wide by a few inches. Then, in the second half, Sam didn't connect with it a few yards out and we didn't have much luck."
