Ward: Hard work paying dividends

The former Wolves centre-back returned to the starting line-up for the FA Cup defeat at Derby last month and has since played a key role in the Lions' five-game unbeaten run in League One.[LNB]Ward told the club's official website: "We're working hard a lot more with each other during the week. We are grafting during the week, we don't just have a jog up, we really do work hard and get together.[LNB]"Pulling together has been the biggest thing, we've got some really good lads and when you've got a good set of lads it goes a long way."[LNB]Meanwhile, striker Gary Alexander (heel) is doing some bike, pool and gym work and will hopefully be able to start jogging next month.[LNB]Marc Laird (rib) is responding well to treatment but will be restricted to gym work this week, while Danny Schofield (hip) will step up his rehabilitation over the next few days.[LNB][LNB]
