Millwall have signed Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brian Hodge on loan, and have also recalled Ben May from Scunthorpe in order to help Richard Shaw's injury-ridden squad.
The treatment table at The New Den has been overflowing recently so the acquisition of Hodge and the recall of May will come as a great relief for Lions fans.
Caretaker assistant manager Colin West told the club's official website: "We've got a whole midfield plus one missing at the moment, with Danny Spiller, Dave Brammer, Ryan Smith and Chris Hackett all recovering from operations. while Tom Brighton is still battling for fitness.
"We were able to sign Ahmet Brkovic on loan last week which has helped, but we still have no midfield cover. The squad is looking very thin from back to front really, so we've recalled Ben, because we need all the bodies we can get."
Hodge, who operates down the left-hand side, had a loan spell with Mansfield Town last season. He and Ben May have been thrown straight into the squad for tomorrow's clash with Hartlepool.
