Millwall captain Paul Robinson is to undergo an operation on his foot which will keep him out of action for between two and three months.
Lions boss Kenny Jackett will be rocked by the prognosis as it is predicted his skipper can expect a ten-week lay-off as the race for promotion hots up in League One.
The 27-year-old defender broke a bone in his foot during a tackle in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Scunthorpe, an incident Jackett described as a 'big loss'.
Jackett said: "I didn't see the incident but he was in a lot of pain at half-time so we took him off. It is one we'll have to overcome."
