Reality check spurs Jackett

Kenny Jackett has backed Millwall to come through the toughest period of their season. After an impressive start on their return to the npower Championship, the heavy 6-1 defeat to Watford and the Carling Cup exit at the hands of Ipswich condemned the Lions to reflect on successive home defeats for the first time in 18 months. With promotion hopefuls Cardiff and table-topping QPR next on the fixture list, Jackett knows his side must get back to their best. "It's a tough little period and a tester for us. We have to eradicate the soft goals and if we do that we'll always be in with a chance. "You just have to look at the quality in Ipswich's squad, but we wanted to come up to this level and now we have to learn to compete and master it. "Football at this level can stretch you if you are a small club. We've got through a couple of rounds in the cup, but we need to get a foothold in our division."
