Before starting his professional career at Kidderminster Harriers in 1996, Marcus Bignot was an apprentice at Birmingham City. He then moved to Crewe and Bristol Rovers after starting at Kidderminster. He moved to Rushden and stayed there for 18 months before they had to sell him due to financial problems.
