Forest monitoring Wilson

Nottingham Forest will assess Kelvin Wilson ahead of the visit of East Midlands rivals Derby.

The central defender is rated as "touch and go" by Reds boss Billy Davies to recover from a back injury in time for Saturday's lunchtime kick-off at the City Ground. Wilson has missed the last two matches with the problem he sustained during the 2-2 home draw with Middlesbrough.

Davies made 11 changes in midweek for the Capital One Cup tie at Burnley and the Scot is expected to do something similar against the Rams.

Nathaniel Chalobah, signed on loan from Chelsea last week, should make his home debut.

Paul Coutts has added to Derby's injury problems.

Coutts faces up to five months out with a dislocated kneecap. The Scot suffered the injury midway through the first half of the Rams' Capital One Cup defeat at Leicester on Tuesday night after going down under a challenge by Foxes full-back Ignasi Miquel.

He joins fellow midfielders Jeff Hendrick (ankle) and James Bailey (knee) on the sidelines and manager Nigel Clough, who was already looking to sign a midfielder on loan, has stepped up the search for cover, although a new arrival is not expected in time for Saturday's lunchtime kick-off.

Clough, who is also without goalkeeper Adam Legzdins (ankle), is expected to recall forward Jamie Ward while right-back Adam Smith and midfielder John Eustace could also come back into Derby's starting XI.
