Millwall seal McLeod deal

Millwall have secured the signing of Charlton striker Izale McLeod on loan until the end of the season.

The former MK Dons man could have all the loose-ends of the deal tied-up in time for Millwall's game at home to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.

In his time at Milton Keynes, McLeod hit 60 goals in 122 starts, prompting the Addicks to pay £1.1million for his services in August 2007.

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson explained his reasoning for letting the striker leave The Valley, with his side lying rock bottom of the Championship table.

He told his club's official website: "Izale needs first-team games. He's over his knee cruciate ligament injury now and this move will be beneficial for him."
