Hooiveld a doubt for Wigan game

Millwall will check on Jos Hooiveld ahead of the clash with fellow relegation strugglers Wigan.

On-loan Southampton defender Hooiveld failed a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's 2-0 home defeat by Watford after picking up a knock in training on Thursday.

Winger Paris Cowan-Hall could be added to the squad having returned to training following a month out with an ankle injury.

Lee Martin (foot) and Nicky Bailey (back) were on the bench on Saturday after spells out and should be involved again but Carlos Edwards (knee) remains on the sidelines.

Jermaine Pennant will be fine to feature for Wigan despite concerns over his hamstrings.

The 32-year-old winger scored in Friday's 2-2 draw with Fulham, which was the first game of Gary Caldwell's reign, and the new manager expects the ex-Liverpool man to be fine.

Caldwell also confirmed that both Don Cowie (knee) and Andrew Taylor are back in full training and could boost a Latics side whose relegation into Sky Bet League One looks almost certain.

Striker Grant Holt (knee) and midfielder Emyr Huws (ankle) will not play again this term.
