Harris looks to youth

Millwall boss Neil Harris could give chances to a number of young players for the visit of Barnsley on Tuesday night.

The Lions' manager was unhappy with his side's 4-0 defeat against Coventry on Saturday and said afterwards he was prepared to offer opportunities to largely untested youngsters.

Midfielders Jack Powell and Ben Thompson were on the bench at Coventry and will be vying for starts, as will loanee Shane Ferguson.

Harris has no new injury concerns so any alterations will be as a reflection on Saturday's defeat as he looks to get Millwall back to winning ways.

Barnsley's latest signing Reece Wabara is expected to be included in the squad.

The former Doncaster full-back signed an initial short-term deal at the weekend and is likely to start on the bench.

Summer signing Ryan Williams could feature for the first time this season. The winger was an unused substitute in Saturday's home win against Burton following a groin injury and will be monitored.

Head coach Lee Johnson, who has no new injury concerns, could recall midfielder Conor Hourihane to the starting line-up.
