Millwall defend 'unjustified' charges

The Lions have been granted a seven-day extension to mount their legal defence and respond to three charges arising from the violence which marred the Carling Cup game at Upton Park in August.[LNB]"We will be pleading not guilty to all charges and defending our position vigorously," said Lions chief executive Andy Ambler.[LNB]"It is a frustration to us that we are committing significant resources of time, energy and money towards having to defend ourselves in the face of these charges.[LNB]"It is our contention that the charges are not justified."[LNB][LNB]
