Byron Webster brace helps Millwall secure play-off berth

Millwall confirmed their place in the Sky Bet League One play-offs after a comfortable 3-0 win over Oldham.

Byron Webster started the celebrations with a headed goal on five minutes for his fifth of the season, while Oldham goalkeeper Joel Coleman was a bystander on 20 minutes when Steve Morison's audacious lob from halfway flew inches over the bar.

The upright came to Oldham's rescue 10 minutes later when Joe Martin's free-kick from 25 yards rattled the corner arc of the bar.

Shane Ferguson rounded off their first-half dominance on 40 minutes when he finished from close range following a flick from Aiden O'Brien in the box.

Oldham midfielder Jonathan Forte had his head in his hands soon after the break when he hit goalkeeper Jordan Archer from just three yards out.

And the visitors were punished just minutes later when Webster headed in from close range for his second of the game.

Latics substitute Dominic Poleon took the accolade for miss of the game from Forte on 78 minutes when his shot from three yards flew over the bar.
