More misery for Millwall as Jay O'Shea hits two for Chesterfield

Jay O'Shea scored either side of half-time to extend Millwall's winless run and move Chesterfield moved into the League One play-off places with a 2-0 win.

The Spireites started brightly and might have taken a fifth minute lead had Ian Evatt not headed straight at Jordan Archer from Gboly Ariyibi's delivery.

The visitors went in front on 17 minutes when O'Shea struck a volley from the edge of the area which went in off the post, before Archer again came to the home side's rescue, denying Chesterfield skipper Sam Morsy in a one-on-one.

Mark Beevers made a vital challenge 10 minutes into the second half to prevent Sylvan Ebanks-Blake converting from Ariyibi's cross.

A stunning one-handed save by Tommy Lee somehow kept out Jimmy Abdou's deflected shot before Millwall substitute Paris Cowan-Hall went to ground in the box, only to see his penalty claim turned down by referee Darren Deadman.

But O'Shea had the final say deep into injury time when his deflected shot beat Archer to seal the points for the visitors and make it four without a win for Millwall.
