Lions to send McLeod packing

Millwall are trying to end striker Izale McLeod's loan spell with the club due to a reported clash with Lions boss Kenny Jackett.

The 24-year-old frontman has scored twice in eight appearances for the League One promotion hopefuls, but is rumoured to have reacted badly to being left out of the starting line-up last weekend.

However, McLeod's parent club, Charlton Athletic, are not keen to take the forward back just yet.

Addicks boss Phil Parkinson told the News Shopper: "It's not totally resolved yet.

"It's all very well Millwall saying they're sending him back, but the bottom line is we can't have him back and he can't play for the reserves or first team.

"It's a situation we need to talk to Millwall about over the next few days."
