Lions to land Laird

Millwall appear to have won the race to sign Manchester City midfielder Marc Laird.
The 21-year-old is expected to pen a two-and-a-half contract with the Lions after Port Vale accepted they would not be signing a player who has played ten games for them during a loan spell at Vale Park this season.
Vale boss Lee Sinnott said: "It's been a battle between us and Millwall and I've pushed as hard as I can for Marc's signature, but it looks like he's decided to join them.
"I've had a phone call from his agent, who told me that it was 99.9 per cent certain that Marc would be joining Millwall instead of Port Vale.
"Marc is the kind of player I like. He's a good age and good box-to-box player, and I've done everything I can to persuade him his future is with us.
"But at the end of the day there's very little we can do if he's already made up his mind."
