Relegation-threatened Millwall have handed a trial to the former Preston North End and West Ham United midfielder Adam Nowland.
The 26-year-old, who has struggled to regain full fitness after breaking his leg more than two years ago, has been playing for Lancaster City recently after being released by Preston last month.
Nowland started his career with Blackpool and played for Wilmbledon before moving to the Hammers in January 2004.
He made 15 appearances for the east London side before moving on to Nottingham Forest and then Preston in the summer of 2005.
Nowland was sent out on loan to Gillingham and Stockport County earlier this season in an abortive attempt to regain his sharpness.
