Lions snap up duo

Millwall manager Willie Donachie has agreed terms with Leyton Orient striker Gary Alexander and Gillingham midfielder Danny Spiller.

The two players have passed medicals at the New Den and will officially become Lions players on July 1.

Alexander told Millwall's official website: "This is a great challenge for me.

"There are already some very good strikers at the club and I know I'll have to battle for a place in the side, but once I knew Willie Donachie wanted to sign me there was only one club I was going to join."

Spiller added: "I'm really looking forward to pre-season and to working with the manager and players here.

"I'm ambitious and I believe that Millwall are going to be strong challengers for promotion next season."
