Millwall is the latest club to be the subject of investment from the US after an American consortium agreed to plough £5million into the coffers at the New Den.
Chestnut Hill Ventures has interests in business and financial services, retail, property and sport and its head, John G Berylson, will take up a place on the Lions board as non-executive chairman.
"This is tremendous news for Millwall and our supporters," read a club statement.
"It enables us to move forward with confidence and continue to plan for future success both on and off the field."
The Lions have also revealed that they expect to receive a further £1.5million investment from other parties plus a £500,000 cash injection from former chairman Peter de Savary.
