Lions lose injured winger

Millwall will be without Chris Hackett for the foreseeable future after the winger underwent reconstructive surgery on his knee.

The 24-year-old wideman recently went under the knife in a bid to discover the extent of a knee problem and was told he would require further surgery on his cruciate ligament.

"Unfortunately Chris has a long-term injury," assistant caretaker manager Colin West told the club's official website.

"We'll be looking at him month by month as his cruciate ligament needed some reconstructive work."
