Lions deny Jackson approach

Millwall have denied making an official approach for Gillingham's Canada international striker Simeon Jackson.

The 23-year-old is rumoured to be attracting interest from a number of clubs, having scored 42 goals in 115 appearances for the Gills to date.

However, Lions chief executive Andy Ambler told the South London News: "There have been rumours about Simeon Jackson, but we aren't anything to do with that.

"There has been no official contact from us whatsoever.

"We've looked at him and we may have had a scout ask for a valuation at some point, but that isn't the same as us making an approach."
