Lions consider card appeal

Millwall boss Willie Donachie is considering appealing the red card shown to Jamie O'Hara during Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Swansea.

O'Hara was shown a straight card in injury time during the 3-2 first-round defeat and a three-match ban would rule him out of any further action for the Lions before his loan stay from Tottenham expires.

"It was more of a tangle than anything else," Donachie told the club's official website.

"The incident happened a long way from goal and there were other defenders around.

"I thought (Jay) Simpson and O'Hara did well, but by the end it was men against boys with so many youngsters in our team against more experienced players in theirs.

"I wanted to win this game, but this competition does add more matches to a very crowded fixture list."
