Millwall have reduced their losses by over £1million, but still reported a deficit of almost £5million for the financial year ending in May.
The Lions, who were relegated from the Championship last season, had lost £6million during the previous year so the figure at least represents an improvement
"We are focusing attention on significantly improving the club's financial position, while striving for success on the pitch," executive chairman Heather Rabbatts told the club's official website.
"There have been significant changes at Millwall since last May, both in the boardroom and on the playing side.
"Major investment has gone into our training ground, Academy and first-team squad.
"After a disappointing start to the season, results are now showing signs of improvement, and the long-term prospects for our youth development look very exciting."
