Lions to extend Henry loan deal

On-loan Reading star Henry beat Cobblers left-back Danny Jackman and his measured low cross gave the Lions' top scorer the simple task of side-footing home his ninth of the season. The 19-year-old's showing lit up a poor game and he should have capped his performance with a goal on the hour mark, but he incredibly headed David Martin's perfect cross inches wide. Jackett said: "We have agreed to extend James' loan for the full 93 days in principle. He will complete month one on Saturday and his full term would incorporate the end of the semi-finals of the play-offs. "He's been a great player for us and he has gelled with the rest of the team. We're very happy with him and pleased that he is staying. "He's had a good start for us. We hope that in months two and three that continues. He's gaining experience and confidence and we're obviously happy to have him because he has contributed very well for us."
