Alexander was sent off by referee Phil Gibbs for deliberate handball during his side's 4-2 defeat at the Memorial Stadium, and faces a three-match ban unless the decision is overturned. "It shouldn't have been a red card because it hit me on the chest," he said. "To be suspended for a decision like that would be really poor. But I spoke to the ref afterwards and he was pretty honest and said if he had made a mistake then he would speak to the gaffer."
