The inspirational centre-half is back in light training after missing the last two months with the broken metatarsal he suffered at the end of January. "Personally I can't wait to get back, and the sooner the better," he said. "But on the other hand, if I don't get in the side between now and the end of the season, hopefuly it will be because the other defenders are playing so well and we keep winning games." Boss Kenny Jackett has this week also been boosted by the return to full training of full-backs Chris Hackett and Alan Dunne, as well as long-term absentee Danny Spiller. Dunne and Hackett have missed the last six games through injury while midfielder Spiller has been restricted to just three substitute appearances all season due to an ongoing groin problem.
