Lions chasing young loanees

Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler has confirmed Bolton winger Danny Ward is among several players being discussed as possible summer signings. Tottenham duo John Bostock and Andros Townsend are also believed to be on the Lions radar and Ambler is keen for the club to continue their links with the White Hart Lane outfit. Spurs youngster Jon Obika spent time on loan at Millwall last term and Ambler told the Southwark News: "We've talked about Ward and we've talked about players from Tottenham. "Spurs are a good club for us to go to because they do like to loan their players out. When it comes to players who have previously been on loan to League One clubs, they might want to put them into a Championship club now. "Tottenham like us as an option because, even though Jon Obika didn't get much time on the pitch, they could track him easily and he could go back there for training occasionally. We're a perfect fit for them and perhaps that's the area we'll be going for. But some of these players won't become available until the season is about to start because they won't know whether they are needed or not." Elsewhere, midfielder Adam Bolder, who left the club by mutual consent earlier this week, will join League Two side Burton subject to confirmation from the Football League.
